Hopman
Wasn't this where Button Lane reached Moorhead?
southside
This Picture Sheffield photograph of Charter Square was taken in July 1970. What's the building at twelve o'clock in the photograph, the building with the white gable and two windows?

southside
Charter Square didn't exist when this Ariel photograph was taken in May 1926 Lot's of local landmarks to pick out including the white building on Wellington Street. It's hard to believe that Queen Victoria opened the Town Hall 29 years earlier than this photograph! You can see how the pollution from the Steelworks darkened the building in such a short time, in contrast to the clean look of the new extension built in 1923. https://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/en/image/EPW015459 1
