The National Emergency Services Museum at West Bar

The Coronavirus outbreak has meant that some of our most cherished places and businesses have had to close their doors until it's over. Sadly the National Emergency Services Museum is one such place.

Based at West Bar roundabout in Sheffield City Centre I'm sure you will all be familiar with the building even if you're yet to pay them a visit. Needless to say this is one of Sheffield's most loved features and those who have been will testify what a great day out it is.

With the doors being closed it means there's a huge financial problem. They have to pay the bills, the rent, the electricity etc and without any visitors that's proving impossible.

So it's time to save the museum!

Here's what the guys at the museum are saying currently. Have a read and help us raise money to save the museum because Sheffield needs this place both now and in the future of our great city. Over to the museum for the final word...

We LOVE our historic home but it brings huge challenges!

The upkeep of our building & visitor facilities is around £20k a year & we have to raise every penny ourselves. You can help us make sure this gem survives by donating at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/nesmuseum
