Am I the only one who thinks Park Royal bodies Atlanteans were one of the best looking busses ever ?

Beauty is (clearly) in the eye of the beholder. I personally prefer the AEC Regents introduced on the Crookes 52 service when trams were withdrawn.  When I moved South I was delighted to see the same model in large numbers on Southampton City Transport. But for a real beauty the Royal Blue Bristol coaches on the South Coast routes were best of all.

Thanks for that, can we just confirm it's a 600 (9.8L) not a 680 (11.1L) ?

Does anyone know its power rating ? Is it 130bhp at 1800rpm I have read all sorts of different power ratings for the 6580 ranging from 150bhp at 1800rpm up to 220bhp !

Just out of interest my research has revealed the 680 (at 180bhp at 1800rpm) was the BUT engine fitted in most 1st generation (rail) Diesel Multiple Units

357 BWB was at the Mayfest in Weston Park today, and the group were there with the bus. They confirmed it has a Leyland 600 and thought it had 150hp, though they were unsure of this, as am I.
