Tina
Does anyone remember the Gas House on commercial street, I've up loaded a photo of the stone archway that was over the entrance to the payment section, this building was demolished by A.D.H. Demolition Limited, the sheffield council wanted this archway to be thrown down the tip in the mid 70's my parents took this as salvage and rebuilt the archway that represents when Sheffield turned from candle light to gas you can see the king & queens heads either side of the fireplace. It was re built in a property they built & renovated in the 1970's at Ridgeway, sheffield. This archway should have a preservation order on it, before someone either removes it or paints it, like the other historical points in the house.
