RLongden
Hi Ellie, Using the interactive map of the area, dated 1901-2, you can move the map around and see where the two Hadfields factories were at this time. Interactive map of area I'm sure you've already done some work to find out where the Hadfields factories were built, the 'Hecla' and 'East Hecla' works? They are circled on the attached map, so you can find them more easily on the interactive version. The really good thing about the interactively map is that you can move it around, zoom in and out and if you use the slider on the left panel (move the blue button left and right), it shows you what is there today, so you can see just how the area has changed. Some of the old buildings of the original 'Hecla' works are still there, but you might be surprised to find what is standing now on the old 'East Hecla' works site?! Good luck with your studies.
