Bayleaf
There's a book called 'A Tree in the Valley' in which the author describes how in the 19th Century the local farmers in the Mayfield/Porter valleys had a regular trade carting hay to the stables in the town, and bringing back manure to spread on the fields. According to the author, the Rising Sun was a favourite place to stop and rest the horses 'after the long pull up from the town'. (Or I bet that's what they told their wives!)
