Tracing A Ww1 Soldier

I think that's very likely but what is frustrating is the apparent lack of a MIC for his 14/15 Star. That would provide us with some needed extra info and another paper trail to follow. Of course if he kept serving in the army up to and past 1921 then by rights his service record will still be held by the MOD. It can requested for a cost but we are not sure as to his status in this regard.

He may have left the regular army, I don't know but he was in the TA long after the war. My mother born 1925 remembers him going on weekend camps with them. Also I have a photo of him and his family taken at Scarborough in 1923 and he is in uniform. As far as I am aware, only serving members of the forces can wear a uniform when out on the streets.
