Guest Longley4G
Longley 4G Community Centre is delighted to have received funding through Heritage Lottery fund to deliver an All Our Stories Project. The local history project has two strands: one to research the life of J G Graves, whose trust bequeathed the Four Greens and the second to build up a timeline of the local area and how it has developed over the centuries. Working with children from Longley School, the All Our Stories Project will include visits to the Central Archives and Graves Art Gallery as well as locally held workshops to interview older residents who have memories of Longley which they are willing to share. All the materials will form the basis of an exhibition in the Longley 4G Community Centre which will remain on display for the life of the Project. Anyone who has any maps, photographs or memories and would be interested in contributing to the Project should contact Sheryl Roberts on the contact details below.
