GazzaW Posted March 23, 2013 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Seeking information on my great-uncle Charles Wright born in 1894 in Ecclesall and married Ethel Wake in 1914. They had three children - Doris, Charles & Harry. Charles was a cutler by trade and joined the Durham Light Infantry in 1914 for the duration of WW1. He rejoined the DLI in 1925 and served in India returning to England about 1935. It is there that I lose track of him competely. Charles does have descendants in South Yorkshire and I am aware that his daughter Doris married Archibald Easton in the mid-1930s. I have no information on descendants of Charles Jr. or Harry Wright. It is a loose end that I am keen to tie up. Living in New Zealand it is difficult to source any local Sheffield information and I am hoping that someone on the Sheffield Forum will be able to assist me with.
