mike142sl
Just out of interest, and a bit of fun, does anyone know which is Sheffield's oldest remaining residential property or properties? presumably a row of terraces but I guess you can never assume. vox
I know this one is pretty old. I thought there might have been a datestone on it but It doesn't appear so. By the way, it is another of those "Google Time Machine" views. Click on the forward arrow to jump from 2011 to 2012.

duckweed
Trouble is how you date a house. By its oldest bit? Or in continuous use? Or oldest house whether or not still in use. Not sure how old the cottage near cross scythes is but was probably there during English Civil War. Bishops House rough date is between 1460 and 1560. Most people I have talked to seem to think probably 1460s. Especially as geophys have suggested an outside staircase and a parlour above at one point. There may be earlier bits included. Cowmouth farm has just been assessed as to have some medieval structures inside. The Chantry House at Handsworth now the pub the Cross keys was built in the 13th century. duckweed
Now that is hard. Terraced I would imagine would have to be georgian earliest. Any ideas?
