Passed by yesterday to find nothing but a pile of rubble in the spot where the pub used to be. It saddened me as I always thought it was a beautiful building and much unlike a lot of the pubs in Sheffield. To me it had the appearance of the kind of pubs you get in Derbyshire villages. 1822-2012.

What a shame, they don't build them like that anymore. :(

It could have stood for another hundred years. I wonder where all the stone has gone to?

Luckily the old fire place was saved.

So, I have just been reading about the fireplace being saved, does anyone know where it currently lives and will it be put on display at some point?

By the way

The old fireplace from the Travellers is now in pride of place at Kelham Island museum
