It's March 1888 and he's got smallpox: May 1st and a receiving order is made against him: May 4th and it's published for the world to see in the London Gazette: John Gibson London Gazette May 4 1888.pdf May 25th and it comes to light that he's not kept any books for the business because he couldn't read and write: But at least the sale of Tinsley House hasn't gone through: And on August 8th 1889 his discharge from bankruptcy was refused (and now they are saying it's fraud as well): John Gibson London Gazette Sept 3 1889.pdf Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
