Guest bats
i recall as a young girl in the mid 70's visiting a shop - which i alsways thought later was the co-op at the bottom of the moor (the building that was there before it was all relandscaped for morrisons or whatever it is now)... and seeing an animal band - as i recall a lifesize musical band comprising animals... anyone remember this or was i dreaming? Guest Meers2
The Coop was at the bottom of Ecclesall Road, next to the restaurant and was under what is now the back end of Waitrose, where they keep the bins.
SteveHB
Could be wrong but the building in the background on the corner of Hereford St and the Moor was the S&E's (Co-Op) electrical store. The one before they took Sunwin House.
