Guest forestgal
Hi, When I was a young girl (in the 50s) I used to come regulary to Sheffield to see my wonderful auntie who lived in a little terrace house in FRANCIS Street off Shirland Lane (Attercliffe). We (my mother etc) came every few weeks for several years. One day in the late 70s, when I turned the corner - nearly all of the street had disappeared!!! Just her house (number 26) and a couple more remained. They moved her up to Richmond Park??? at the grand old age of 92! I would love to find a picture or map details of Francis Street, can anyone help please?

Guest forestgal
Thank you very much for this link. Four pics of Francis Street - unfortunately not on the 'evens' side but very good. Thanks. I remember the house so well. We used to get off the bus at "Shirland Lane end please" then go into Banners before walking up to Francis Street. It was half-way down on the right (number 26).
