Can anyone help me with some history or photos of The Boardwalk please ?

I'd especially like some photo's from around the 1970's and 1980's if possible ?

This maybe more like what you want, downstairs.

There are more, view 'em yerself.

That's great, as Ron Clayton said, no one ever takes pictures of the inside of pubs.

I've got some but they're full of happy drunken faces. lol

The Arctic Monkeys outside the Boardwalk

The band are linked in more ways than one to this iconic Sheffield venue having played gigs there, and even worked behind the bar!

As of 2008 the Boardwalk was also using this entrance on Snig Hill:

This later became the Twist part of Twist & Fuel by 2014, with one of the doors blocked off and a Samuel Smith window revealed:

At the same time, the Fuel door of Twist & Fuel was accessed via the other ex-Boardwalk entrance:

Twist & Fuel was shortlived, by 2015 the venue was bare and all of the old Samuel Smith windows had been completely revealed:

There was talk of reviving the Boardwalk in 2016 (https://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/news/bringing-back-boardwalk-sheffield-58280.

The Snig Hill sloping side is now Meltdown, which has boarded over the Samuel Smith windows again:

Clearly Boardwalk used all of the building, and I assume Twist & Fuel partitioned it. I know Meltdown doesn't have an upstairs, so I'd say - at a guess - that the corner entrance and upstairs are now vacant, although there's also building work going on around there now...
