Labled on a 1954 map as Church of Christ the King,

Spot on Steve - the Anglican Church of Christ the King was purchased in 1971 by Father Michael Daly, Priest at St Patricks, for £9,000 and was converted to a social centre for a further £17,000 and opened in 1972. Yes, it was called St Patrick's Social Club.
