DaveH
Day 16 Christmas Eve, and the last door of the Advent Programme There are only "12 days of Christmas" according to the carol, and an advent calendar usually has 24 doors on it, covering the whole of December up to Christmas Eve, although Advent is the 4 Sundays before Christmas, so can vary depending on where Christmas falls in the week. Looks like your 16 pages for Advent have nicely split the difference
Guest diode_blade
I got the book "The RED White And Khaki" for xmas brill read, telling all about the controversy and football with United through the 1914-15 season and what happened to some of the players when they went to the trenches in ww1, even if your not a blade it is well worth a read. Blacky
Apparently the team were instructed not to smile on their official photo with the cup to reflect the sombre mood of the nation. Jimmy Revill was killed in France and Billy Gillespie returned having lost most of his hair.
