duckweed
Anybody remember what Bishops House looked like before restoration in the 1970s. I now have 3 independent witnesses that there were carved heads on the building. No one seems sure where but I think probably under the prominent gables at the front. Anyone know about these? Any memory of them or any old photos nearer the house than the ones in the Sheffield Picture Archive. If there were heads, how many, stone or wood, and where? And then there is the mystery of what happened to them and why were they removed and is there other features that have been removed and are they in storage somewhere?
