I'm jumping the gun but UKL is nearing the end of the epic 1820-1922 that I, and others started. Many Thanks to all concerned, your input is greatly appreciated, I hope the data generated is informative and helpful.

So, a request for the next chunk of data, did you live in a pub ?, were you born in one ? did you celebrate an event in one ?

No census data for this period but do you have pictures ? of premises/people ? Directories images, repeat posts most welcome - ShefieldHistory@Gmail.com

Dates of builds/rebuilds/demolitions most welcome.

Thank you all in advance.

Special emphasis on 1939-1945 for reasons I hope are readily apparent ...

I have got the data from 1923 to 1948 and almost ready to go.

They are all from Kellys Directory , well all but two which are Whites.

It will be very interesting to see which pubs survived the blitz.

1923-1948 it is then, hopefully someone can come up with some additional data/stories/memories/pictures to add to your existing resource - I think that's kind of the idea behind SheffieldHistory ...

How will this work Richard? Will it be added to the main listings by yourself, UKL etc or a seperate entity for post 1951?

Beerhouse just means he didn't hold a license to sell spirits .... possibly ...

For consideration ... any evidence of his age ?, any evidence he was a "keeper" ? Does this address match anything on the lists ?

(Pet missing, been on one of those very sad walks looking ...)

Well the name is there but not as the keeper , that title seems to belong to Charles Ashley.

Great news, Rosie is back home, safe and sound after four days missing. Fed, watered, warmed up and as asleep as asleep can be on her cushion next to me on the sofa ... stressful times, indeed.
