RichardB Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 1767 Africanus, bought of Lord Farnham, and was own brother to Trentham, by Lord Gower's Sweepstakes, out of Miss South, by South. In 1772 he won £50 at Sheffield, beating Legacy, Jack O and Chance; also £50 at Wakefield, beating Princess and Young Jason.
