Bayleaf Posted July 8, 2011 Share Posted July 8, 2011 A friend who knows of my interest in all things Porter Valley recently loaned me three small albums of photos passed down in his family, all taken late 19th early 20th Centuries. As well as two albums of Endcliffe there was one labelled "Beauchief, Abbeydale and Ecclesall" In it were five photos taken when the Totley Tunnel was under construction. He has kindly given me his permission to copy them, so here they are, all courtesy of Philip Sneath. Shafts Loco (what's 'Health and safety'? Navvy's children Drunken Navvy (posed?)
