I don't get to read much of what I post, I hope you and others follow the links through better than I manage to do. I looked at the dates, picked out 1962 because the Sheffield Gale was one of those defining points in my life and there it was. Almost all the "entries" in your link are about the local fire brigade service and of course the fire service would certainly have got their work cut out on that fateful night in February 1962.
