Guest styring Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 Hi This is the first time I've joined a forum. My grandparents were Alice nee Turton and Thomas Styring. I know very little about the family history apart from my grandfather had a sister called Mary who had a son called Philip. He would have been born about 1920-1923 as my father said they were a similar age. My grandmother had a sister Ann and several brothers. I believe one was called Wilson. Her father was Charles Henry Arthur Turton and he was a surgical instrument manufacturer. She was born on 9th December 1888 in Ecclesall Bierlow. I don't have my grandfather's birth ceritificate but I think his father was a solicitor. I'd be interested in learning any family history from both sides.
