ukelele lady
SH link . Sheffield Newspapers Scrapbook Could this be some remains of Pepper Alley? These two are taken fron Norfolk Street . It's the first alleyway after Chapel Walk. You cannot walk down the as there are gates at the bottom on Norfolk Street side, but still plenty of room to shove a camera through. These are taken from up the side of Upper Chapel looking towards Fargate. Taken from the side of Upper Chapel looking towards Norfolk Street. Calvin72
This is a bit intriguing! I sometimes wonder about the small remains of City centre lanes and small streets that were once thriving but are often now just access roads for the shops. There are a couple off Fargate, but i like the possibility that ukelele lady's pics are Pepper Alley - seems to fit with the maps. I was recently sat in the Chapel yard and looked down the alley in the photos - it does seem substantial enough to be a lost street of some importance.
