eversley Posted January 17, 2011 Share Posted January 17, 2011 I am interested to know more about the Cutlers living and working in Heeley. with particular reference to : Josiah Barnes ( from Chinley Derbyshire )apprenticed to Mr. Joseph Bradbury cutler of Heeley. in1771 Josiah Barnes (Heeley ) aprenticed to Samuel Wison knife maker in1805 I understand that the first Josiah ( b about 1757 ) had a house and shop facing Chesterfield Road and that he met his death rushing from his shop to save a child from being run over.
