Guest Slim
Apologies if this is already common knowledge, but The Crown on Walkley Bank is currently being turned into residential accomodation.
ukelele lady
I noticed that the Hallamshire on Lydgate Lane has been knocked down. I'd like to know where all the stone goes to when they knock these places down. The Travellers , Penistone Road will soon be knocked down , it would be nice to keep the stone for buildings in Sheffield with a sign saying "This was once the stone of such a pub " That would be wishfull thinking of course. Guest Slim
I think that would be wishful thinking! I don't think Sainsbury's have plans to incorporate any Travellers stone!!.

I wasn't meaning Sainsbury's Slim, there's will just be red brick or something similar. More likely the stone is sold off for someones future grand obode. ukelele lady
The White Hart Inn in Oughtibridge is now a wedding dress shop. No not a mini market or a church but a bridal shop. I remember last year when my friend told me it was going to open up as a bridal shop and I corrected her and told her she must mean bridle shop as there has been one of those shops in the past. There's quite a few horsey people in Oughtibridge. So now this bridal shop has opened I think I will have to tell her that she was right after all.
