DaveH
...yes Dave , well put , and my point exactly ! - no pubs in walking distance on many estates , including the once thriving Community Centres , hence some people have no choice but to stop in with their supermarket cans !!! Oh and a couple of other things which may have had some effect over recent years ... TV with around 60+ channels , instead of the 3 we had as youngsters ! - video , computer games ect. The Internet !!! - with all the social media sites ect , like Facebook , and Forums like this - enough to soon fill a night !!!! The Vulcan on Northern Avenue is now JADE ORIENT Chinese food. Vulcan is Jade Orient
SteveHB
277 (Medium).jpg Took this pic of The Horse and Lion yesterday. We were on the tram at the time so perhaps it's not too clear, but I couldn't believe my eyes so I yelled to Mr Carly to grab a photo quick. The old pub is also a fish & chip shop "Norfolk Park Fisheries".
