RichardB
I don't have any answer to these but does anyone know of the oldest voice and or "performance" recordings with Sheffield connections please ? Just chip in if you have any idea, hopefully we will then progress backwards in time. Thanks Titch.
dunsbyowl1867
A start - 1920? A historic recording by the Sheffield Choir under Coward, dating from 1920, has been released by the Elgar Society (CDLX7042) in which the Choir sings Elgar’s From the Bavarian Highlands: Dance. Any recordings, even approaching that vintage deserve a mention.
