His Mother ran a Pub at one point ..... in 1849 His family ran the Shakespeare Hotel, Williamson Square, Liverpool where Henry Coward was born November 26 1849. In 1857 His Mother Harriet became the Landlady of the Bank Hotel in Bank Street Sheffield. and he went to school at Hebbelethwaite's Paradise Square for a short time.
