Guest Jake Wilson
I have a British style commando dagger, similar to the F-S Fighting Knife. I would like to find out what year it was produced. The bottom side of the hilt is stamped, William Roberts Sheffield England. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Could the stamp be William Rodgers? If possible, please show some pics and that will help with the identification.

SteveHB
Welcome to the site Jake Wilson. (handle design Joseph Rodgers) 'To support the demand for faster and cheaper production a new cast grip was produced. It is thought to be the design of the Joseph Rodgers firm, of Sheffield. It had 27 concentric rings, and was cast in a non-strategic alloy.' Take a look on this site .... Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife
