Melancholy suicide at Sheffield

May 1861

Mrs Ann Fowler of Burgreave Road took her own life.

She did not recover from the death of her husband 2 yrs previous

After a previous attempt she hung herself in the "Wash House"

Suicide at Hackenthorp(e) ?

Jan 26th 1839

It was reported on Feb the 3rd

that the boy had taken his own life,

due to his fear of punishment for a trifling fault

Frank Jeeves mind was affected after caring for his sick girlfriend

His body was found with its throat cut, a razor and a bottle of Prussic Acid were found on the ground

and had in his possetion a razor,

a pruning knife and a sharp dirk knife
