RichardB
Got something, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot from each of the following years : Especially the gaps 1841-1849, 1862-1871, 1871-1881, 1881-1891, and mostly 1925-1951 ... of course 1951-now, but I'm not knowledgeable on anything after 1925 really. Looking for Pubs/Beerhouses with keepers names, if possible ....
RichardS
Hi, i'm new to the site and have spent many hours now flicking through it, esp. the pub section and its nice to see that there are people who share a love of the history of Sheffield pubs. If I can help I have the directories looking at me now from my book shelf: 1895 (pawson&brailsford), Kelly's 1910, 1931, 1948, 1954, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1974. A White's from 1849.

A White's from 1849. We'd love to see some information; however you can do it - Scans posted on here, transcriptions, photocopies in the post - please let us know. Personally, the older the information the better - but there are a couple of helpers who do a great job updating the records held here. Thank you for the offer and I hope you have many more happy hours trawling through our findings - only took a bit more than a year to do !

RichardB
RichardS Your posting is fantastic, please don't be offended by my message below. Volunteers (you know who you are), please do not update any existing records until this 1845 year posting is complete. This will allow me to incorporate 1845 into the existing data, we may be able to extrapolate 1837 - 1845 - 1849 - 1852 etc to gain some extra information, this will save us a great deal of time editing. RichardS, we await the completion of your tremendous posting before proceeding. You post like Billy-O, when 1845 is complete we will add your information (and maybe more) to the existing data. We have a very organized listing, your data will be edited into the existing data (as opposed to new postings) maintaining that organization. Basically RichardS, keep posting as you are doing, we will wait, we will swing into action when it is appropriate. If you'd care to PM me your email Richard - I'll send you the master spreadsheet so you can see what you are contributing to. and ... Thank You again.
