Guest tsavo
I'll try anything once! 1. Merton Lane Wincobank 2. Daniel Hill, Kelvin. 3. Again, maybe behind Kelvin. 4) Near Burgoyne Rd. 5) School near bottom of Carr Rd. 6. 7.8. Struggling. 9. 10. Fiesta Club
Sheffield History
Done some digging - Think 6,7 and 8 could be around Parksprings area ? I thought of the Fiesta when I first saw the last pics but never went in so need it confirming really - is it definite ?
Guest tsavo
The stage looks a bit small for the Fiesta which is why I thought possibly Baileys. The tablelamp is the right shape & colour for the Firsta though. You could be right about Parkwood Springs though, it's what seems to be a block of flats (of a multi-storey car park) in the upper right of the picture that's throwing me. Sheffield History
I see what you mean - looks like a high rise car park ? There's a few more in this thread that might help.. http://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk/forums/i...p?showtopic=
mickjj
numbers 2 &3 are defiatly Kelvin Flats. The last two like Tsavo said right colour lamps but stage is way to small i think it is Baileys or Cavendish as it was previously called.

RichardB
No. 4, possibly Harold Street, leading down to Burgoyne Road at the bottom, which would make the street towards the upper left Whitehouse Road, and then onto Walkley Road.
Guest TexxUK
If you look closely at photo's 9 & 10, you will see that the vocalist is Alan Lake (Diana Dors' husband). The others are Don Powell, Jim Lea & Dave Hill of Slade. This must have been when the film "Slade In Flame" was being made, parts of which were filmed in Sheffield. BTW. Isn't this a wonderful site! Guest zep
I thought, hold on where is Noddy Holder....a real bit of history Ah Myrtle bought me the best of Slade yesterday from a second hand shop for 30p and we actually listened to it. Coming from Holland she'd never heard them but knew I was a fan in the days of StaPrest, platforms and JayTex jumpers. One of the photos from Wincobank could have been the view from our house if we had bought it up there on Sandstone Road.

neddy
Picture's 6-7-8 would have been taken approx here, http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=53.398772&a...r=0&src=msa The house still occupied in picture 6 was 191 Douglas Road, the house that spans the entry used to be John Hacket brother of Kieth the referee.
