Lysanderix
Tinsley Rolling Mills would regularly allow a man to the Clubs back entrance for jugs of beer on hot Summer afternoons……..all of which stopped when orange flavoured saline drink was provided by the Company after a few workers were breathalysed on their way home at the end of the 6 to 2 shift. .The local BISAKTA union branch had their annual dinner there ,when Tinsley Directors and senior staff were guests of honour . That apart, I know nothing about the Club. I wonder does anyone know any more?

Ponytail
1929 not your era though, unfortunately. Was any of the interior from 1929 still there in the 1960's?
Lysanderix
I seldom went in….only to the Union dinner. I can’t remember any details of the interior. Obviously, the main building had been rebuilt in a more modern style. ……which is interesting as money was tight in the 1930s and post War there were building restrictions!
