SteveHB
Looking at the 1951 aerial images and and the 1950's maps, it now becomes obvious that the building was extended, sometime after the Royal Oak PH was demolished. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.3908106,-1.4759584,61a,35y,40.03h,46.9t/data=!3m1!1e3
