Gabriel
Does anybody have an info or images regarding 126 Penistone Road? It was used by Joseph Tomlinson & Sons Ltd. as a carriage depot, but I'm unsure as the where it was and how big it was. Anything would be great

madannie77
1881 Kelly's Directory Which suggests that it was between the Artisan Works and the Philadelphia Corn Mill 1890ish map showing the works and mill, but no real idea where 126 is.
madannie77
And an 1879 Whites, which doesn't list a 126 in the street listing but gives numbers to some of the un-numbered works in the Kelly's. The alphabetical list does show Joseph Tomlinson at 126, however. The order of the various works is different, but it suggests to me that 126 was somewhere amongst those works towards the bottom of the map posted above. I could be wrong, of course (and often am )

Gabriel
I’ve found some aerial shots of 124 Rutland Road from 1950. (That’s a new address to me)
neddy
That looks like the wrong address , should be 124-6 Penistone Road. The rutland road in the above address denotes the junction with penistone road.
Gabriel
Ahh yes I understand you. I was just a tiny bit confused. I still can’t find any images of 124/6 Penistone Road.
