It certainly added colour to the area at night when the lights switched from colour to colour. Remember it often had another attraction when substances were added to make it resemble a bubble bath. They always blamed the students, don't think it was always them. 😂 Think it was replaced with which can only be termed as a Rockery.

It was a photograph taken in 1972 by Sheffield Newspapers and appears on Picture Sheffield as  s24468. They were likely to have been waiting for the electric City Clipper bus as seen in this photograph also taken by Sheffield Newspapers in 1972.

Never realised the City Clipper bus was anything other than diesel powered…..Certainly ,the Bendy Buses used on this route for a period were good old smoky, environmentally unfriendly ,honest to goodness diesel powered vehicles….which would terrify todays City bosses.
