Stunmon
I believe that my uncle Walter Morton may have been publican of this pub in the 1920s/30s? Does anyone have any records of past landlords?
Edmund
Henry Hatton was the landlord at the Noahs Ark from 1911 to 1935 (when he went bust with unsecured liabilities of £914 16s 9d - blamed on unemployment and the opening of a working mens club nearby). Then: 1937 Arthur Haslehurst [ beer retailer only ] 1938 Arthur Smith 1939 Arthur Smith 1942 Arthur Smith 1944 Arthur Smith 1948 Arthur Smith [ beer retailer only ] That might help narrow the potential dates down - perhaps to only 1935/6/7?
