John Marshall
I remember going to Redgates when the entrance was on the Moor and opposite was a bomb site..going to lower ground and there was a Hornby layout in the middle of the floor the guy who operated it was disabled and he lived at Walkley..i used to go there nearly every Saturday to get some Hornby train bits. maxiesmum
I worked at Redgates on the large toys Department in the basement . It was a magical place specially at Christmas Most of the staff were like children at heart and we had so much fun. the management was off on Thursdays so we used to play with the toys and ride bikes around in the basement! madannie77
Wilson Gumpert was the name of the shop you, which was on Fitzalan Square. It was at one point owned by Redgates, although I know little more than that. Wilson Gumpert on Sheffield History
