Guest HRHartley
After finding out my Aunt Annie worked as a Nurse at Cammell Laird in Nottingham. I have today discovered her brother my Great Grandad also worked for Cammell Laird in WW1 at the Sheffield Munitions factory. Where he likely met his wife to be Charlotte Irene Lister (they married in Dec 1919, and my grandad was born in June 1920! So was a quick one!). Anyway I found this out as I found a declaration/Thankyou letter which was sent out to all the people who worked in the munitions factories, which was from and signed by the king. I also found 2 postcards from 1917 of the Sheffield Cammell Laird factory. Does anyone else have anything like this, or any other reminders of the company/family history of it on ww1?
