Guest Eckethump
Hi There is a new tool available, called Mosaic, specifically designed for British maps and aerial images. Mosaic downloads maps from old-maps.co.uk and photos from Britain-from-above. It combines the small tile sets into large maps making them easier to view. Originally designed for Virtual Railway users, Mosaic is perfectly usable to just download maps and aerial images. Mosaic costs £25 You can take a look at the website here: Mosaic I hope you don't mind me advertising this link on this excellent forum but I do think it could be quite a useful tool. SteveHB
Quick question, would you also need to subscribe to 'old maps.co.uk', at £9.99 a month?
Guest Eckethump
Hi No subscription is required to use Mosaic. All features are fully available for the one of fee of £25. Remember Mosaic not only allows you to download maps from Old-maps.co.uk but large aerial images from Britain from above as well. Here's an example of an image downloaded from Britain-From-Above.org:
