Don't know if this lot is still there, or not ...

I have an ancestor who was listed there in 1825 as a steel refiner, and at Ward St round the back of the flats 1833

A relative of mine, Sarah Ann Hawke, was born in Sheffield at No 5 Bowling Green Street on October 15, 1841. Is this photograph a picture of a building on the same street?

A relative of mine, Sarah Ann Hawke, was born in Sheffield at No 5 Bowling Green Street on October 15, 1841.

Married one of these four :

Jan-Mar 1862 Alfred Easton/Harry Service

Jan-Mar 1867 Alfred Cowen/Joseph Madin

can you confirm any of these names please ?

There was also an old Victorian school along Bowling Green Street just before Green Lane on the right hand side.

In the early 1970's I had the "pleasure" of going there for day release and night school, it was then an annexe of Granville College, not happy memories.
