togger
Evening all, I am wanting to search the 1901 Census for a specific address only. Does anyone know a way using Ancestry or FMP please?
HughW
The census search page at FMP has options for entering parts of the address. I find it a bit hit-and-miss especially as the transcription often makes mistakes in the spelling. An indirect method I use quite often is to look at the street in a directory of about the right date and search for some names from nearby houses. I have a scanned copy of the Sheffield 1901 census I downloaded (for free) from Historical Directories (Leicester University) Hugh

SteveHB
Select Browse by Location > Yorkshire, and White's Directory of Sheffield & Rotherham, 1901 is on page 2 on my screen.
