Sheffield History
Surely the Elephants Foot from the Fletchers Van is Sheffield's most fondest remembered bun or cake of all time? It seems everyone stopped the Fletchers Van on it's rounds to grab one of these monster sized buns? The Elephants Foot seems to be much loved in Sheffield, and delivered by Fletchers to your doorstep in a Fletchers Van just made it all the more sweeter! Anyone on here used to get their Elephants Foot from the Fletchers Van?

lysander
We had bread from Fletchers vans....when they were pre-war Fords....can't say I remember the monster buns being around...although we had a Fletcher's pastry shop at Firth Park terminus shops.
