If I remember it correctly the whale was moved around the country for some time until it got to the west Yorkshire area (Hemsworth?). After it arrived it was decided it was in such a poor state it should stop traveling and was incinerated but owing to the amount of formaldehyde painted on to it, the rumor went that it exploded!
