dunsbyowl1867
For 400 years this grand house was in the possession of the Wilkinson Family. In 1859 the house was sold to Bernard Wake (him again!). The house passed to his daughter Jane on his death in 1891 - the house being demolished for housing development in the 1930s and the grounds forming what became Longley Park. The former gate entrance to Crowder house on Barnsley Road across from the end of Stubbin Lane. Guest Gramps
I was going to sk if someone would photograph all the old gate-posts in the S5 area.... http://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk/forums/i...ost&p=30569 think there are more than I've mentioned, but my memory is about as functional as my legs these days.
