Guest Gramps Posted July 23, 2009 Share Posted July 23, 2009 The property is named as Cockshutt Farm on th OS map of 1853 but Norwood Rise on the 1893 version. The outline of the property is definitely different on the later map so it was rebuilt at some time between these dates. The name Benjamin Makin rings a bell but in what context I can't recall.
