Sorry to be pedantic old chap but re 22 May 2003 - it should be the Winter GARDEN WAS, as there is only one garden. The Winter Gardens is in Blackpool?

I see what you mean and on the Council website that is its official name and I have changed it.

It is funny though because people tend to talk of gardens in the plural don't they ? for instance previously people referred to it as the Peace GardenS didn't they ? (even though its offical name was someting else but that's beside the point). Cheers Mike lol
