Guest Trefcon
From Tree Root Walk, down Wellesey road, on the left before you get to the junction of Northumberland road, what looks like a lodge and a large door for a carriage. Next building is a very large Victorian Villa type house. On passing noticed a small building in the now new car park that seems to have eaten up the grounds. The doors were open, (holds garden maintenance equipment now) spoke to the bloke present and he said it was a morgue for the Doctor at the big house. The interior was all glazed bricks. So, who lived in the 'Lodge' and the big house with the morgue?
SteveHB
I think the house could be No. 16. 16 Wellesley Road, Douglas Knoop, professor at Sheffield University. (Kelly's 1925)
