DaveH
On packet of Scotch Eggs from a well known Bradford based supermarket, under Allergy Advice it says contains EGG I wasn't expecting that I bought a box of mixed nuts to eat over Christmas. On the box it says "Allergy Information, - contains NUTS" Now when we were kids everyone ate nuts and nobody ever had an allergy to them. These days some people are so allergic to some of them that the slightest trace of contact with them can be life threatening. So where did this allergy come from and how long has it been around. Come to think of it I don't remember anyone ever being allergic to eggs either.
DaveH
Bet it doesn't contain any Scotch though. Perhaps Stuart should try to sue the manufacturers of these "Scotch eggs" that don't contain any Scotch under the Trade Descriptions Act 1974 lol

Luckily its not a life threatening allergy, just makes her sick and her lips puff up, Used to get some mileage out of it years ago.

Eldest daughter also has a similar egg alergy, makes her sick, makes her lips puffy and comes out in a rash. Even small amounts of egg and egg "hidden" as another ingredient in something else can have this affect but its affect is hit and miss. She seems OK with pancakes and Yorkshire puddings. But she can't drink even a mouthfull of Advokat without being sick Hmmm, come to think of it I don't think I could either.

I have a similar problem with Advokat, although I'm slightly more tollerant. I don't feel sick 'till the second bottle. he he
